Now when we speak about connecting to our Neshama, what does it mean really? What is our Neshama?
So for some people, they think that the Neshama is inside of the body. That's what keeps the body moving.
But in reality, we say no that's the Nefesh. The Nefesh is the lowest part of your spiritual being.
The Neshama is really in a much higher realm. The Nefesh and the Neshama are two different worlds. The Neshama itself is not inside of our body.
I don't have a source for what I am about to say, but I think that it's. Science says that we are using only three percent of our mind. So it would be great to connect in the same ratio as to the Neshama, because it says that the Neshama sits in the brain. So my summation is that we are using only three percent of our brain so too only three percent of our Neshamah is active within us.
Connecting to the Higher Parts of your soul
What will happen if you really connect to your Neshama? How would you feel? What person would you be if all your being would be elevated and all of your Consciousness will be in that level of your Neshama?
So there is a process that some tzaddikim have described it as waking up of the Neshama. Alternatively, we can say the Neshama is awake and we are sleeping. We need to wake up. We need to wake up to the Neshama. We need to wake up to the reality of the Neshama.
Our consciousness is asleep because of the physical dimension. When we wake up from the dream of the physical dimension, we are waking up to the reality of the existence of our Neshama which is a much higher level of existence.
So this process is something that is like for example you are sleeping in a dormitory and you have many beds for different people...
